Reviews from musicians

I had a generally good experience with the staff. The guy running the board was a good guy, did a decent job, and recorded the performance on direct board to cd.
My biggest complaint is no walk in traffic. There is a bar on the street level, and the stage is underground. So upstairs could be pretty packed and able to hear the music, but the performance level could have no spectators.
Beware of shady promoters.

My one experience was horrible and based on it, I would not recommend it to any musician/artist. This was in late April 2013, so my apologies if there has been a change in management. First of all it is an exploitation venue that usually has pay-to-play BS. Somehow my booking guy bypassed this so I didn't owe money. But they didn't let me have a guest list, even for press. Then, the sound guy was an asshole who sucked at sound. Cocaine will do that to you. Fry your high-end hearing so that your mix is piercing and shrill. I had to repeatedly ask him to turn it down. The sound never did sound good.
