The Horseshoe Tavern is a staple in Toronto. They get great artists and have a great bar. They don't have the biggest concert space, but it's still pretty good. The crowds for their shows don't tend to get too unruly, depending on the band playing. And from what I've heard, they treat artists pretty well - I think bands get a door deal. Highly, highly recommend!
