Went to a jam here hosted by the wonderful Jim Moran. However, when I inquired about a gig here from the club manager, I was told:
"We don't pay bands. We put out a tip jar, and the band gets 50% of that."
I thought he was joking, but soon realized he was serious.
Do I have to say "keep far away"?
