Love this place! Played the Musicquarium several times - roomy stage, fair pay system of $200 guarantee plus 10%, which has gotten our quartet up to $100 per person when we got a good crowd in there. Sound guy really helpful and easy to work with, bar staff mostly pretty friendly. Lydia is the booking agent and very easy to deal with as well. Book your gig the same night as a big act in the main room and you have a built in crowd, who are usually good tippers too!
Don't know what the other reviewer's problem is. Can't say enough nice things about this place.

Incredibly disappointing experience trying to book "Seattle's Best Live Music Venue". Apparently they think that $150-$200 for a large band, for a 3-hour show, is acceptable for anyone with 'not-Macklemore' levels of fame and fortune. Keep in mind that load-in is an hour beforehand, they don't validate or comp parking (minimum $10, unless you can find street parking in downtown Seattle on a weekend), nor do they promote the acts beyond their own website. The booking agent, Lydia, also takes forever and a day to get back to you, and is uninterested in any kind of negotiation, math, or explanations that $25/man for a three hour gig isn't even minimum wage (the OLD one, before the happy-hippy $15 minimum wage elsewhere). Avoid at all costs, or at least until they get their s*** together.
