What can you say, it's the Sunset! The joint itself is moody in an awesome way. I've always had good experiences with the staff. Sound guy and stage is always spot on. It's tough to do weekends unless you can really pack them in because it's a well known and respected venue, but I feel they do very much appreciate the local music scene and are willing to work with bands to help them get exposure.

Don't play a weeknight. Country/rock/pop groups do well here on the weekends. Cover bands do well too. Alternative/metal/electronic do not do well here. Not unless it's a group with a serious following. The original backstage area has been converted into additional seating for the restaurant so load in can be a bit more hectic. Good sound guy.
