Reviews from musicians

01-17-2016
The venue booked a 7-piece early-style jazz band for 16 Jan 2016, for a flat fee plus a percentage of food/drink. The band showed up an hourly early, to be told that they wouldn't pay, but that we could play for free. Best theory of why, is that they were told we wanted to shoot some video footage, and they guessed we'd be unlikely to cancel since we had videographer and musicians already there. Seems a calculated move on their part when they realized after striking the original deal, that they could probably have had the group for free.
