Like the pretentious 1% crowd - then this place is for you. They will ignore you no matter how well you play but the management will expect more bang for their buck when it comes to money. You'll only get moderately okay tips at best and if you do a show downstairs you can expect a % of the cover and they'll help (relatively) with promotion but don't set your expectations too high when it comes to a profitable experience. They said they'd offer a % of the bar sales in the Pampas room (if that's what you booked) but because they sell 'tables' and those tickets often include wine or champagne in their steep price... basically no one at your show will be getting anything from the bar directly. They're not at all generous on comps or even half-off prices for friends on the cover. They will hook you up with some great food & drinks at the end of the night however. The piano is nice but not without issues. Overall it's a good place to perform but you need to KNOW you'll have a big and consistent draw (how long will you play there?) and considering the stress, hassle and frantic energy put out by the staff...you can probably do better elsewhere. I wouldn't write them off...I just haven't written them in a while.
