You won't make any money playing here, but it's a great place, run by cool people. This is a great place to try new stuff out.

Tea Lounge is a fun and fashionable place to play. It's a large room, with a full bar, some food, and obviously tea and coffee. They program good music, ranging from straight-ahead jazz to more adventurous jazz and improvised music.

To my knowledge (I was paid out of leader's pocket when I played here), they don't pay the band anything, just help solicit donations. Which depending on the night, seems unfair.

The other negative to this venue is that some nights, there's a substantial proportion of people in the club there with their computers, not really listening but working or otherwise occupied with their screens. It can be a weird vibe, performing there with half the audience not paying attention, or even talking, but staring at different screens.
