Relaxed, funky, neighborhood pub with full music schedule. Pay situation now based on percentage of bar + kitchen. Janky PA with no house soundperson; always need to re-set the board/assignments/sends, then hope that the cables are still working (often not). Regulars seem to enjoy the music, but bring your own crowd for dancing and cheering. Barkeeps are chill, efficient, and accommodating. No stage, just an area in the front windows with the tables cleared out...

The good:
Biddys typically offers a $200 guarantee versus 10% of the bar. This means that people wander in to drink or eat dinner and will see your band performing. At the same time, you know you won't be losing money, and the $200 is at least minimum wage for 3 hours for most bands. It's got a woody, run-down, country-ish kind of vibe. Irish-themed decorations.
It's a biggish room, capacity probably 250 or so. The band does not have to pay the door person.
Could be better:
Although they recently upgraded their monitors, The Mackie 8-channel powered head through Peavey speakers does not carry all the way to the back, and bands have to bring their own mics, stands, and cables.
No sound engineer is provided.
The band plays in a tiny wedged-in space in the front window. This may help foot traffic (on 60th and glisan?) but live music is clearly a marginalized afterthought from an architectural standpoint in this long, narrow cavern of a bar.
