Googie's Lounge is a mezzanine-level space on the second floor of the Living Room. There are no walls between the performance space and the bar area on the main level. To compensate for this, Googie's doesn't allow drum sets to be played with drum sticks (those bundle stick things are okay), and there are stipulations about the general volume level of performing acts. Essentially, the attitude here is, "Sure, feel free to use our attic. Just don't disrupt the enjoyment of the folks in our main performance space or in our bar area."
If you're an acoustic solo or duo performance, this place would probably work for you. Beyond that, you might want to think twice about it.

Googie's Lounge... a separate venue that's just upstairs from the Living Room (the same owner, I think). It is yet another NYC venue that profits from a long line of talented, interesting bands willing to play for audience donations and don't expect any promotion. The bands supply the music and their fans to buy drinks. The club supplies... a place to perform?
