The Shrine is easy to book, pays based on bar percentage (i.e. not very well and impossible to verify), always has people there, and features a decent backline (amps, a Nord Electro 3, etc.) You know what you are getting there so I have no qualms with the venue. Don't live nearby but if I did I would book shows there as much as possible, just to have a cool place to play.

This was a decent place to play. No vibe or pressure, and an easy place to bring the spouse. We did just a quick jazz set there. One thing about the drumkit though: Bring your own snare!

Played there many times and it lots of fun. Sound is decent, its a lively vibe, the club has a built in crowd that really listens to the music. We've always gotten free drink tickets after our set. You get paid a % of what the restaurant and bar take in while you are playing plus audience donations.

Great venue. A very neighborhood-y vibe. We made good money, got free drink tickets, and had a great crowd. You get donations from the crowd, and a portion of the bar.

I have played at Shrine several times over the last 3 years. The crowd at happy hour is the best. Sound engineer good and responsive to needs. Owner genial. Free drink tickets given to the leader to share. Staff always takes the tip jar around room and sometimes you get 5% of bar.
