The Royal Bear is located just West of Algona on the East Valley Highway. As far as a music venue, it's an excellent place to play. They usually have a crowd on hand, although better on Saturdays than Fridays. The stage is very big, with it's own Drum Riser. In fact the venue is pretty big compared to most locations. There is a lighting system that can be rented and they do have house lights although the rented system is remarkable! Friday bands tend to be less of a draw and they have their "stable" of Saturday bands that are considered some of the best cover bands in the South Seattle Area. So there usually is a cover. 15 beers on tap. Full bar and kitchen with some decent food. The only negative is that the "Bear" is getting up there in age and is a bit run down. But as a music venue, you are hard pressed to find a better location for Rock and Classic Rock Cover bands.
